Welcome to The Captain’s Villa B & B
Stay at a Bed & Breakfast in Kalmar, next door to Kalmar Castle and the Baltic Sea, and minutes from the heart of the city.
The Captain’s House was built in 1912 by Sea Captain Isaksson, who dreamt of having the house full of visitors. Now his dream has been fulfilled. The house has an interesting history, including being owned by the Catholic church and used as a chapel. Come and stay, and we will tell you more!

Some of the guest rooms have views of medieval Kalmar Castle, the best preserved Renaissance Castle in Scandinavia. The castle was built in the Middle Ages as a fortress overlooking the Baltic sea, and altered into a palace with continental style interiors in the 16th Century by Swedish kings Gustav Vasa, Erik XIV and Johan III. The beautiful castle offers many events including sightseeing tours, summer concerts, and a Christmas market. The beautiful little church is one of Sweden's most popular for weddings.
